In Dane County, the index of real estate documents is currently available beginning January 1975. This resource is subject to changes as we are in the midst of a long term back indexing project. Most of the document images are available by document number, including all subdivision plats, condominium plats and certified survey map images.
There are two options for retrieving records online: Tapestry EON and Laredo.
TapestryEON is an Internet access program designed for the occasional user who has some understanding of real estate documents. This program offers access to real estate documents recorded in Dane County and other counties in the Midwest.
Laredo is an Internet access program designed for title insurance firms and other real estate-related firms that operate in Wisconsin and need access daily to the land records in the Dane County Register of Deeds office. If your real estate-related firm needs only occasional access, or if your computer expertise is limited, consider using TapestryEON instead. Fees are assessed to pay for support and maintenance of the system.
